Case-Law

The Digest includes the complete case-law of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, starting from May 1997. It is continuously updated and enhanced. Presented in the form of brief positions and legal opinions through the keywords system, the Digest contains a summarized description of the important decisions from which the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been evolving its case-law.    

Keywords are classified according to the Articles of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Rules of the Constitutional Court and the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. Keywords lead to a specific position. All the positions contained in this Digest are classified in the chronological order under every title. In a way, one can follow the development and change of the case-law of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Note: The text of the Digest of the Case-Law of the Constitutional Court of BiH was proofread in a combination of language variants, so that one third of the text is in Bosnian, the other in Croatian, and the third in the Serbian language variant, in Latin alphabet. The text was published in this way with a view to making it available to the public as soon as possible. In the near future, the text of the Digest of the Case-Law will be available, fully proofread in all three language variants.

The case-law of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina was also published in the book “Digest of the Case Law of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina” (Third revised and supplemented edition).
