Ćazim Sadiković

Professor Sadiković graduated from the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo and obtained his Master's degree from the European University Centre in Nancy, France in the field of legal and political sciences. He then earned his PhD from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

He started his academic career at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo in 1961, and continued at the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo as a professor and dean. He taught Introduction to Political Science, Introduction to Law, International Law, Human Rights and Political Systems. At the same time, he held a number of political positions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Europe. He was awarded the Charter of the Council of the Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals (2019), Crystal Seal in 2011 on the occasion of twenty years of work of the Venice Commission, Bronze Plaque in 2008 for exceptional merit (Pro Merito) for the work in the Commission "Democracy through Law" - Venice Commission. The International Committee has declared his book "Human Rights without Protection" "the best book of the year". He was awarded Silver Plaques of the City of Sarajevo for merits in improving the administration of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (1987) and Plaques of the University of Sarajevo with the Charter for special merits in work on the programs of the University of Sarajevo (1986).

He was a member of the Drafting Commission for the drafting of the Constitution of the SFRY in Brioni, and then of the Constitution of the SR BiH (1971). He has been the President of the Commission for Constitutional Affairs (1974) and the Legal Council of the Assembly of the Socialist Republic of BiH. He is the author of eleven books and hundreds of scientific and professional works in the field of legal and political sciences. He was a member of the Council of the Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals from its foundation, and he left an indelible mark on the work of the Council for Constitutional, Legal and Political Issues of the Council. From 1984 to 1986, he held the office of the President of the Constitutional Court of the Socialist Republic of BiH.

He served as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina from July 2002 to April 2005.
