Visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia


 

His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ivan Šabolić visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.

The President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zlatko M. Knežević, and the Vice-Presidents of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mato Tadić and Mirsad Ćeman received Ambassador Šabolić for inaugural visit.

President Knežević and Vice-Presidents Tadić and Ćeman presented to the Ambassador the facts about the constitutional position, organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, appellate and abstract jurisdiction, as well as relevant statistical data on the work of the Constitutional Court of BiH. They also discussed the place and role of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the constitutional structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the importance of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the importance of their implementation. The emphasis was placed on the very successful cooperation between the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia.

Ambassador Šabolić thanked for the reception, exchange of views and information he received from President Knežević and Vice-Presidents Tadić and Ćeman during the visit. He emphasized the importance of the role of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the segment of protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and wished the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina a successful continuation of its work.
