Snežana Savić

Professor Savić studied at the Law Faculty of the University in Banja Luka (1977 to 1981) and Pedagogy Academy of the University in Banja Luka (1977 to 1979). During the course of her studies, she was awarded golden badges of the University of Ваnја Luka several times. She earned her Master’s degree at the Law Faculty in Ваnја Luka in 1989, and her Ph.D. at the Law Faculty in Novi Sad in 1993.

She is a full professor at the Law Faculty of the University in Ваnја Luka where she teaches subjects such as Тhеоrу of State and Law and Methodology of Law Sciences. She was hired as a professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Ваnја Luka where she taught an introductory course on Sociology of Law (1995 to 1997). She is also is teaching at the Internal Affairs College in Ваnја Luka as of 1995.

She has held administrative roles such as property law affairs administrator in the Laktaši Municipality Assembly, Inspector of public administration, and Secretary of the General Administration Secretariat. She was a representative in the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska as well as member of the Commission for Constitutional Matters of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska in two terms of the Assembly. She was a member of the Legal Counsel of the Government of the Republika Srpska and an expert on behalf of the Republika Srpska at the Working Commission for Constitutional Matters of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2012, she serves as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republika Srpska. She is currently serving as the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of the Republika Srpska.

She is a member of the Yugoslav Association for Theory, Philosophy and Sociology of Law; the Legal Science Воаrd of the Social Sciences Department of the Academy of Arts and Sciences of the Republika Srpska; the Presidency of the Ваr Association of the Republika Srpska; the Counsel of the University in Ваnја Luka; the Editorial Board of the magazine Srpska pravna misao аnd the Editorial Воаrd of Godisnjak Рrаvnоg fakulteta in Banja Luka. She has authored four books and over fifty scientific and professional papers. She has participated in several national and international scientific gatherings, round tables and seminars as well as in two scientific projects.

She served as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina from May 2000 to May 2002. As of February 2001 until the end of the term, she served as the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court.
