Mr. Davor Ivo Stier, Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo (DSEE), visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina with his associates today as part of the visit to the country.
The DSEE Chair was welcomed by Mr. Mirsad Ćeman, President of the Constitutional Court, and Ms. Valerija Galić, Vice-President of the Constitutional Court, and their assistants.
President Ćeman presented to the DSEE Chair the facts about the constitutional position, responsibilities, organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of BiH. The participants commented on the position, role and jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court, particularly with respect to the segment of the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and the protection of the principle of the rule of law in BiH.
The DSEE Chair thanked for the reception, exchange of opinions and the information he received from President Ćeman, and expressed full support for the Constitutional Court.
