Meeting with the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović

 
President of the Constitutional Court of BiH, Mirsad Ceman, the Vice-Presidents, Mato Tadic and Zlatko Knezevic and Secretary General, Natasa Vukovic held today with the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Covic, a working meeting.

The meeting was held as a part of the initiative of the Constitutional Court of BiH which was directed at the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which could, within the scope of their constitutional jurisdiction and responsibilities, have influence on securing better conditions for work and functioning of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
 
The meeting was aimed at exploring efficient solutions to the particular questions in order for the constitutional position of the Constitutional Court of BiH, as defined by Article VI of the Constitution of BiH and the Rules of the Constitutional Court, to be fully exercised.
 
Thus, at the meeting, the discussion was held on the current issues important for the functioning of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the necessity and possibility of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within its jurisdiction, to become involved and assist in resolving these issues.
A particular attention was given to the enforcement of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and issues of financial and administrative independence of the Constitutional Court of BiH as well as to some issues regarding the state protocol.
 
The representatives of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina have agreed that the resolution of the issues and concerns discussed will certainly contribute to exercising of the constitutionality and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in BiH.
