Prof. Larisa Velić, Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ms. Ermina Dumanjić, Head of the Constitutional Case-Law Section, attended the international conference “On the Constitution, State and Democracy” marking 20 years of constitutionality in the independent Montenegro. The Conference, organized by the Constitutional Court of Montenegro and the Ministry of European Affairs, was held in Tivat, Montenegro, from 1 to 3 October 2026.
Key constitutional and institutional challenges accompanying European integration processes were discussed at the conference in the presence of prominent European experts and representatives of the highest judicial institutions. Special consideration was given to the relationship between national constitutional order and European Union law, as well as issues and challenges posed before constitutional judiciary by the accelerated development of artificial intelligence.
A significant portion of the discussions focused on the role of constitutional courts in public sphere that is ever so changing under the influence of new technologies. The conference encouraged open, reasoned and meaningful exchange of opinions about the challenges brought by digital transformation to contemporary constitutional democracy and rule of law.
