The representatives from the Election Department of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) and the Needs Assessment Mission (OSCE/ODIHR/NAM) visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today. The delegation included Mr. Ulvi Akhundlu, Deputy Head of the Election Department (OSCE/ODIHR), and Mr. Kakha Inaishvili, Election Adviser (OSCE/ODIHR). The visit was organized to host the representatives of the Needs Assessment Mission (NAM) visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina in connection with the upcoming early elections for the President of Republika Srpska.
The representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR/NAM were received by the President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Mirsad Ćeman, accompanied by his associates.
On this occasion, President Ćeman presented the facts about the constitutional role, organizational structure, and functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as about the Court’s jurisdiction and case law concerning elections and the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The OSCE/ODIHR/NAM representatives expressed their gratitude for the reception, the exchange of views, and the information provided by President Ćeman, and extended their best wishes to the Constitutional Court for continued success in its work.
