Vice-President Ćeman at the International Conference in Yerevan



Upon the invitation of the International Analytical Centre „Constitutional Culture“, the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirsad Ćeman is attending the International Conference entitled „The New Millennium Constitutionalism“ held in Yerevan, Armenia from 1 to 2 November 2018.

The Conference is organized by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, Constitutional Law Centre of the Republic of Armenia with a participation of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission).

Vice-President Ćeman presented his paper entitled „The Judicial Power in the System of Separation of Powers: New Challenges and Solutions“. In addition, Vice-President Ćeman is partaking in the working sessions of the Conference with the colleagues of other constitutional court and other participants. This was an opportunity to exchange experiences on other current topics of the constitutional judiciary in the countries of the region in addition to the discussions held on the main topic of the Conference.

The international cooperation that includes the attendance of the international conferences, professional and scientific gatherings represents the framework wherein the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina promotes is doctrine, experience and case-law particularly in the rule of law area, protection and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms. In this manner, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina makes its contribution to the European civilization heritage and acquis communautaire which is at the same time the source of its inspiration.
