50 years of constitutional justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Event announcement

The Constitutional Court has been established for the first time in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 15 February 1964 pursuant to the 1963 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In view of that, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina marks a significant anniversary in 2014 - 50 years of constitutional justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On that occasion, on 27 March 2014, at 10,00 hours, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will hold a ceremonial session and, on the same day, at 12,00 hours, also organize the International Conference with the topic “The Constitutional Court – Between Negative Legislator and Positive Activism“.

The ceremonial session of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be attended by a great number of domestic officials and guests from abroad, including an Envoy of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, an Envoy of the President of the Conference of the European Constitutional Courts, the President and Vice-President of the Venice Commission, presidents and judges of a great number of constitutional courts from Europe who will participate in the work of the International Conference.

The ceremonial session of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Conference will be held at the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, Trg BiH no. 1.
