Visit of Ambassador Jonathan Moore

 
 
Ambassador Jonathan Moore, Head of the Mission of OSCE to BiH, has paid a working visit to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was held by the President of the Constitutional Court of BiH, Valerija Galic, with her associates.

The working visit is a part of the practice which is aimed at exchanging opinions between the Head of the Mission of OSCE to BiH and relevant institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was used to exchange opinions and information on organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of BiH. The significance of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH as as a guardian of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina was emphasized, as well as the significance of raising awareness on necessity of protection and promotion of the human rights and fundamental freedoms.

In that context, a special attention was given to the issue of rule of law and legal certainty of citizens from the aspect of the case-law of the Constitutional Court.

Ambassador Moore expressed his support to the work of the Constitutional Court of BiH involved in very sensitive issues. In addition, special emphasis was given to the significance of implementation of the decisions of the Constitutional Court in order to allow for legal certainty and compliance with the rule of law in the entire country.
