President Ćeman at the International Symposium in Ankara



Upon invitation of Prof Dr Zühtü Arslan, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey, Mirsad Ćeman, the President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended the International Symposium organised to mark the 54th Anniversary of the Constitutional Court of Republic of Turkey held on 25 April 2016 in Ankara.

The theme of this International Symposium “Effects of Judgments Concerning Individual Applications” was examined in the course of the several sessions with a special emphasis on the execution of the judgments adopted on the individual applications, regulations on execution of judgments adopted on individual applications and need of institutional structuring, effects of judgments on individual applications on the case-law of higher courts as well as effects of judgments on individual applications on interpretation of the constitution.

The Symposium was attended by the presidents and judges of the constitutional courts from within the region as well as the European constitutional and other courts.

President Ćeman met with a number colleagues, presidents and judges of the constitutional courts and exchanged opinions both on the theme of the Symposium as well as on the current issues of the constitutional judiciary in the countries of the region and current issues of cooperation with the Conference of the European Constitutional Courts.
